As an industry leader since the beginning, Rocky full suspension mountain bikes are the product of decades of engineering and a passion for off-road cycling. The Rocky Mountain produces exceptional all-mountain full suspension mountain bikes that are light enough for long distance XC rides, heavy enough to handle blistering free rides and ready to meet any obstacle on the trail.

Not only are Rocky full suspension mountain bikes fun to ride, owners are confident they are one of the best all-around bikes for the money with a ride quality that equals or bests the competition. Although Rocky full suspension mountain bikes are built to heavy super cross country specs, trail riders say the extra weight that slows you on steep ascents is handy on the other side of the hill when you have a great combination of speed and stability with the added benefit of responsive handling.

The cutting-edge Altitude trail bike and the newest Slayer SuperXC both feature bent top tubes to increase stand-over clearance whilst the Element features a straight top tube based on triangular geometry. Triangles play a big part in the stable frame design and patented 3DLink suspension system Rocky Mountain has developed for increased efficiency and stability in races and long-distance rides. Rocky Mountain uses a simple numbering system to differentiate their model options. The Super Cross Country Rocky Element 30 starts around £1,800 with team bikes and top of the line carbon alloy models going for £4,000 to £6,000. Upgraded Altitude models generally retail in the same price range.

Rocky full suspension mountain bikes feature custom-valved Fox Float shocks in the rear, which deliver approximately 140mm of travel for a comfortable bottomless feel with a quick rebound tailored to the rider’s weight. Intuitive Fox forks featuring responsive Fox Isolated Technology (FIT) with lockout and rebound adjustments and 100mm of travel are included with most top of the line Rocky full suspension mountain bikes.

Rocky Mountain Bicycles works extensively with RockShox, who supplies Solo Air forks and air shocks with rebound and lockout for Rocky Mountain’s entry-level Altitude and Element full suspension mountain bikes. Rocky full suspension mountain bikes in the Altitude series are also available with 29 inch tires for riders who want to push the limits.

To prevent chainsuck and pedal bob, all bikes in the Altitude series feature a SmoothLink suspension to minimize pedal feedback and keep chain torque parallel on steep climbs. Rocky full suspension mountain bikes also incorporate an advanced 76-degree seat post to help riders achieve gravity-defying ascents. The Slayer XC, which sells for £2,300 to £3,000, is another great full suspension all-mountain bike for all-mountain applications. The new Slayer features a deluxe Talas fork from Fox along with an advanced LC2R (Low Centre Counter Rotating) suspension system that responds to trail input for nimble handling and a firm pedalling platform.

Rocky full suspension mountain bikes feature advanced engineering backed up by quality components from well-respected manufacturers. With DT Swiss hubs, Stans ZTR tubeless ready rims, Juicy disc brakes by AVID and a long list of upgraded components, it’s hard to beat the value of Rocky full suspension mountain bikes.
